Boothbay Baby Rentals got its start as Maine Sherpa Babies in the spring of 2007, providing baby equipment rentals in both the Boothbay Harbor and Bethel regions (please see article below). After a successful first season, Maine Sherpa Babies divided into two fulltime entities in order to better serve the two regions. With a new name, Boothbay Baby Rentals continues to provide the Boothbay Harbor region with the same staff and same great quality gear and service.
Boothbay Baby Rentals is owned and operated by Lauren Harkins. Lauren grew up on Southport, an island in the Boothbay Harbor Region. She attended the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT and earned a B.A. in Biology from Colby College in Waterville, ME. After several years of working in biomedical research, Lauren returned to Southport Island in 2004 with her husband, Adam, and daughter, Isabel. Their son, Finn, arrived in 2006. With two kids of her own, Lauren knows what gear traveling families will need. Boothbay Baby Rentals carries equipment and toys that are the same brands and styles Lauren uses for her own children at home and while on the road. Her high standards ensure the best for your young traveler.
